Displacement is composed of two appropriated newspaper coin boxes that have been resurrected from physical defeat to surpass physical boundaries, property lines, and instruments of cultural power using mirrored cubes contained in their cavity to capture imagery in shifting urban and natural worlds. Untethered from their intended use of the sale and consumption of mechanically reproduced information, these objects now reflect their surroundings in the here and now, being positioned in sensitive ecological systems and marginalized communities, their mobility and placement signals changing environments.
